Welcome to Inside Impact! As an independent evaluator, we are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring that your personal data is handled in compliance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This privacy notice explains the purposes of our research, how your data will be collected and used, and your rights regarding your personal data.
Purpose of the Research
Inside Impact is conducting research to evaluate the effectiveness and impact of the Weston Charity Awards on participating charities that was delivered and supported by Pilotlight and the Garfield Weston Foundation between 2014 and 2024. The data collected will help us understand the outcomes and benefits of the support provided to charity leaders and their organisations. Inside Impact will be creating a public-facing report using anonymised data along with other potential public communication outputs such as an animated video or infographic.
Data Collection and Use
- Data Collection: We will collect data using Microsoft Forms. The information collected will include your contact details, responses to survey questions, and any additional information you choose to provide.
- Identification: The data will not be anonymous to Inside Impact, meaning we will know your identity. However, any data shared with Pilotlight and the Garfield Weston Foundation (GWF) will be anonymised to ensure your privacy.
- Data Use:
- Inside Impact: We will use the data to conduct a thorough evaluation of the Pilotlight programmes. This includes analysing responses to provide insights and recommendations. We will be preparing reports and communication tools that Pilotlight and the Garfield Weston Foundation may choose to use publicly on their websites or through social media for example.
- Pilotlight: Anonymised data will be shared with Pilotlight to help them understand the impact of their programmes and improve future initiatives. They may choose to make anonymised data publicly available.
- Garfield Weston Foundation (GWF): Anonymised data will also be shared with GWF for their internal analysis and reporting purposes. They may choose to make anonymised data publicly available. Please note that this data sharing will not affect the funding received by the charities involved.
Data Retention
- Inside Impact: We will retain your identifiable data until one year after the end of the project.
- Pilotlight: Anonymised data will be retained by Pilotlight for twenty years after the end of the project to facilitate long-term analysis and reporting.
Your Rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: You can request access to the personal data we hold about you.
- Correction: You can request corrections to any inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Deletion: You can request the deletion of your personal data, subject to certain conditions.
