About Inside Impact
We train and advise people how to measure and demonstrate the difference their work is making.
We believe the people best placed to measure, drive and own impact are already inside the organisations delivering it. That’s why we focus on building capability, not outsourcing - equipping people with the skills, tools and confidence to build systems that can evidence their impact.
We do this through:
1) Our 12 Week Online IMPACTT Accelerator programmes
2) Bespoke training both online and in person
3) Consultancy and advisory services on request
Who We Work With
We work across the charity, public and private sectors with people who carry responsibility for measuring and demonstrating impact - but have rarely had the time, training or tailored support to do it effectively.Â
We exist for the specialists in other fields who still need the specialist impact skills.
Whether you're preparing a funding bid, managing a programme, or trying to make the case for your team’s value, we help you build the skills and systems that make your impact clear, credible and impossible to ignore.
Our Story
Inside Impact was founded in 2022 by Alexa Sage, after years of working in and alongside organisations where staff were being asked to “show impact” - but those same staff never got the proper support to do so.
Having supported hundreds of organisations through both in-house roles in Impact, Analytics, Strategy and Evaluation, and as a consultant, she started to notice a pattern.
Impact was everyone's responsibility but no one's job.
Many felt the answer was to outsource the development of their impact practice to consultants - who had less understanding of their work, their unique context, or the people being supported.
Often what they really needed was the support to develop that capability in-house.
Inside Impact was created to fill that gap - not by doing the work for people, but by working with them to build their capabilities to embed better impact practice that actually fits their context.
Who We Are
Inside Impact is led by Alexa Sage, and supported by a trusted network of facilitators, analysts, designers and impact specialists. We build the right team for each project - drawing on experience across research, design, data, evaluation and organisational strategy.
Everyone we work with shares the same ethos - that the real specialists on the impact being made are those delivering it.
We bring impact expertise, structure and clarity, but we never claim to know your work better than you do.
Our Mission
To equip anyone with responsibility for impact with the tools, skills and support to deliver brilliant impact practice.
Our Vision
A world where organisations of all shapes and sizes can confidently measure, demonstrate and accelerate the difference their work makes to people’s lives.
Our Values
 BRILLIANCEÂ
We pursue excellence that’s built to stand out and be beautiful.
 CURIOSITYÂ
We embrace smart risks and prioritise experimentation in pursuit of doing things better.
 USEFULNESSÂ
If it’s not practical, actionable or helping drive decisions, we leave it out.
The IMPACTT Framework
 Impact isn’t just a report. It’s a practice.
At Inside Impact, we developed the IMPACTT Framework as the foundation for brilliant impact practice in any context.
We use it to shape all our work - whether we’re running our Accelerator programme, delivering bespoke training, or consulting with your team.
This seven-step framework supports every stage of impact practice: from defining what change you want to make, to capturing meaningful data, to persuading others of your impact, to making better decisions based on what you learn.
It’s structured. It’s practical.
And it’s designed not for academics or data experts but for people on the ground, doing the work that makes a difference.
We can help you with parts of it or all of it.
